ASEAN-Australia & QANTAS CEO, Indonesian Entrepreneurs, TAFE SA Transparency

Heading into the Easter break, hopefully there is the opportunity to get things done on your task list, relax a bit and catch up with friends.

International travel and partnerships has been the focus of the last few weeks, from catching up with collaborators in Adelaide and across Victoria, to meeting the third group of Indonesian entrepreneurs in Ubud, Bali, then the out of this world experience that is SXSW (more on this to come later), to the ASEAN-Australia Business Summit in Sydney. For my home state of South Australia we saw a historic win by the Liberal party to form government after being in opposition for 16 years.

Much to share with you including events and invitations, a message to Alan Joyce, CEO of QANTAS, and a call for transparency on the TAFE SA reviews.

And there are a number of new products and services in the Workforce BluePrint Shop including innovative experiences, as well as practical hands on development, addressing current issues and future themes.

ASEAN-Australia Business Summit 2018

A number of new education initiatives were announced at the #ASEANinAus Special Summit by The Hon Julie Bishop MP, Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Questions such as could Australia one day actually be part of ASEAN? Perhaps it is a long shot but would be the world’s 4th largest economy so important to consider.

The Hon Steven Ciobo MP, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, said that the ASEAN is a wealth of business opportunities building relationships with the ten countries of ASEAN to promote digital trade and support inclusive economic growth in our region.

Events in Sydney and Adelaide

In February we ran booked out events in Melbourne with an RTO Leaders Lunch – don’t make the same mistakes as others and an evening networking event on the Future of Jobs, Skills and Work. Interest has been received to run these events in Sydney and Adelaide in May or perhaps June 2018.
