City of Entrepreneurs Tour

The Future of Jobs, STEM and Work

20 November 2018

Adelaide is a hot bed of entrepreneurial activity but it is often difficult to really understand what is happening, who is involved and how it relates to education, employment and economic development. The City of Entrepreneurs Tour across Adelaide will demonstrate where authentic STEM is in current and future jobs, connect you to coworking spaces and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, introduce you to leading businesses, local and global employers, and educational institutions all developing skills for future and current jobs.

Who is it for? Business and Government Leaders; Career Counsellors and Practitioners; Economic Development, Council and Industry Representatives; Educators from Primary and High Schools, Vocational Education and Training (VET) or Higher Education organisations; Employment Service Providers and Youth Organisations; Entrepreneurs and Startups.

How is the tour run? Beginning at 10.30 am, on the tour you will visit a combined incubator, accelerator and coworking space as one of the potential entry into the innovation and startup scene. Stops throughout the day will demonstrate components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in action as you meet entrepreneurs and leaders who have taken their business to the next level. Hear about the programs and support available to South Australian entrepreneurs, gain insight into the variety of businesses in South Australia, and see STEM applied in different industry contexts. The tour concludes around 5.30 pm and is followed by a networking event with entrepreneurs, employers, innovators and industry.

Date: Tuesday 20 November 2018

Time: 10.30 am – 5.30 pm with networking event from 5.30 – 7.30 pm
